Translating "characters" and characters
Educational content needs to be clear. But when the teacher has a unique sense of humor, rhythm, and personality, the image can't be presented in a "courseware"....
In the "História 0800", the challenge was to create an opening that combined information, charisma, and visual humor – without turning History into a generic textbook cartoon.
_From the briefing to the visual universe
Based on direct conversations with Professor João Daniel Almeida , the project's creator, I developed the creative coordination for two opening vignettes: one for Brazilian History, and another for World History.
The work started from scratch: visual concept, identity, original characters, gags, illustrations, and logo. The idea was to create a unique world for his classes, with humor and historical context coexisting on the same screen – without one bypass (or guillotine) the other.
When the image brings the content to life.
With the visual universe and assets ready, the material was sent to VZBLE , which was responsible for the animation, soundtrack, and rendering.
The result was two short videos with a clear identity, rhythm, and charisma — a kind of visual invitation for the class to begin.
